Just popping in quickly to show you all the start of Max's birthday quilt.
Slowly, slowly! I was hoping to get the top stitched up so i could get my Penny Sampler back up on my design wall but it would seem that i didn't make enough of the little "penny patches" (the little tiny 4 patches). So i need to get those made up, i'm thinking i'll just make the rest in all low volume prints, i'm trying to have the quilt read as mainly blue. Though it's the green that i'm seeing first. I may need to remove some of the larger green blocks and replace them for blue. I also think i may need a little pop of red in the bottom left corner, thoughts on that?
I also have this ready to go.
Fabrics cut and ready for the next two fusion stars for this quilt.
I've decided that i'm going to use the nine blocks i'm making for the quilt as my first attempt at quilt as you go. I'm thinking maybe two lines of echo quilting in each star, but the questions is... what colour of thread do i use? Should i use just one colour? Or try and match all the colours? Or maybe try a variegated? What do you guys think? I'm hoping to get quilting tomorrow!
That's it for me today! Hope everyone is having a great day!
High fives for sewing something other than my Penny Sampler!!
